Mouse Adrenergic Receptor Beta 1 (ADRb1) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Beta-adrenergic receptors are responsible for mediating the activation of adenylate cyclase by catecholamines through G proteins. The Beta-1 adrenergic receptor (β1-AR) binds both epinephrine and norepinephrine with nearly equal affinity, facilitating Ras activation via G(s)-alpha and cAMP signaling pathways. Mice that overexpress β1-AR show pronounced cardiac hypertrophy and manifest pathological features of heart failure. For instance, mice with heart-specific overexpression of β1-AR display increased heart rate and contractility at a young age but later develop cardiac hypertrophy and dysfunction, progressing to heart failure. Chronic activation of the β1-AR signaling pathway exacerbates this condition by increasing cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and inflammatory responses, which further impair cardiac function.
