Target Information
Adenosine receptor A2b is a receptor that responds to adenosine, with its activity being mediated by G proteins that activate adenylyl cyclase. In a mouse model of lung inflammation triggered by lipopolysaccharide (LPS), mice lacking Adora2b were unable to increase Treg cell levels, leading to more severe inflammation and greater cell infiltration. In a myocardial ischemia model, agonists targeting Adora2b significantly reduced the size of myocardial infarctions and decreased cardiac injury marker levels. Moreover, Adora2b enhanced cardioprotection by modulating myeloid cell (such as macrophages) signal transduction.
