Target Information
15-deoxy-Δ12,14-prostaglandin J2 is a derivative of prostaglandin J, characterized by the absence of the 15-hydroxy group and the presence of C=C double bonds at the 12- and 14-positions. It functions as a metabolite, an electrophilic reagent, and an insulin-sensitizing drug. 15d-PGJ2 has a wide range of biological functions in mice, especially showing significant potential in anti-inflammation, antioxidant and immunomodulation. Its mechanism is mainly achieved by activating the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) signaling pathway. Research has indicated that 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-prostaglandin J2 exhibits antioxidant properties while intensifying inflammation in mice with ureteral obstruction.
