Lobster hemocyanin is a large extracellular oxygen-binding protein that contains copper, which makes lobster blood blue. It's also found in some molluscs and arthropods. The lobster hemocyanin molecules are built as hexamers or multiples of hexamers.

- Dissolve the hemocyanin protein at concentration of 5-10 mg/ml in PBS buffer. Do not vortex. Hemocyanin is large carrier protein complex that may aggregate and precipitate from solutions.
