Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (formerly known as Lactobacillus arabinosus and Lactobacillus plantarum) is a prevalent species within the Lactiplantibacillus genus, commonly present in numerous fermented foods and anaerobic plant materials. Due to its capability to temporarily reside in plants, insect intestines, and the intestinal tracts of vertebrate animals, it is classified as a nomadic organism.
