Cat. No.CC10F7

Product TypeAnimal Cells and Cell Lines

Product Overview

Hepatic Kupffer cells, located within the hepatic sinusoidal lumen, possess amoeboid movement and active phagocytic function. They also play a role in processing and transmitting antigens and regulating the body's immune response, and are key members of the mononuclear phagocytic system. They are important defensive cells that clear bacteria and their toxins to antagonize infection, and also play a leading role in the development of endotoxin-induced liver injury by releasing various inflammatory mediators. Immortalized mouse Kupffer cells have been validated through 30 consecutive passages; these cells have been identified using a specific marker (CD163).
