Target Information

The chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP1), small inducible cytokine A2, or Monocyte Chemotactic And Activating Factor, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL2 plays a crucial role in regulating cellular mechanics, facilitating the recruitment of monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of inflammation caused by tissue injury or infection. Research indicates that injecting recombinant MCP-1 protein intradermally into guinea pigs leads to significant macrophage infiltration.
