Rabbit Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a pleiotropic cytokine that regulates immune responses, acute-phase reactions, and hematopoiesis. It binds IL-6R and gp130, activating JAK-STAT and MAPK pathways to promote B-cell maturation, T-cell activation, and hepatic acute-phase protein synthesis. IL-6 is rapidly induced by infection, trauma, or stress, orchestrating both pro- and anti-inflammatory signals. As a central mediator of immunity and inflammation, IL-6 is an important target for studying host defense, metabolic regulation, and inflammatory disorders.
