Target Information

Cortisol is a steroid hormone, in the glucocorticoid class of hormones and a stress hormone. It is a crucial player in maintaining balance, but excessive or insufficient levels can impact the health. It works with specific brain regions to regulate the mood, motivation, and fear. In a previous research, significantly higher cortisol levels were found in cats that eliminated outside the litter box or that showed aggression towards their owners.
