Feline Aortic Endothelial Cells-Immortalized by SV40T Antigens
Product Overview
Feline Aortic Endothelial Cells can be isolated and cultured from the cat aorta. These cells are typically flat or spindle-shaped. Feline Aortic Endothelial Cells play a vital role in maintaining vascular function, regulating immune responses, participating in coagulation and anticoagulation, and in pathological changes during disease states. Aortic endothelial cells form the inner lining of the aorta and are continuously subjected to blood flow shear stress. Under shear stress, endothelial cells secrete various endothelial factors, which in turn influence vascular contraction and growth. Aortic endothelial cells also regulate the expression of cell adhesion molecules to control and precisely modulate inflammatory responses and tissue fibrosis. Feline Aortic Endothelial Cells-Immortalized by SV40T Antigens were immortalized through lentiviral transfection carrying the SV40 gene (these cells acquire puromycin resistance after transfection).

Target Information
These cells are transformed and stably express the large T-antigen of the simian virus 40 (SV40T antigens) to immortalize the cells and extend their lifespan.
