Target Information

Enterococci are Gram-positive, catalase-negative, non-spore-forming bacteria that typically reside in the alimentary tract of humans and animals. Enterococcus avium is another member of the Enterococcus genus, predominantly found in birds. On rare occasions, it can also cause infections in humans.
