Dgcr8 Knockout Mouse Hippocampal Neuron Cell Line-HT22
Product Overview
Mouse Hippocampal Neuron Cell Line-HT22 is a subclone of HT-4 and is highly sensitive to glutamate, making it frequently used as a research model for glutamate-induced neurotoxicity. Through induced differentiation, HT-22 cells can exhibit characteristics closer to those of mature hippocampal neurons, thereby playing an important role in the study of neurodegenerative diseases, neuroinflammation, neuroprotection, and drug screening. The Dgcr8 gene in this cell line was knocked out by gene editing.

Target Information
The Dgcr8 gene in this cell line was knocked out by gene editing. The protein encoded by DGCR8 (DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 8) is a crucial component of microRNA (miRNA) biosynthesis. DGCR8, together with DROSHA, forms the Microprocessor complex, which is responsible for processing primary miRNA (pri-miRNA) and initiating the miRNA maturation process. Abnormal expression of DGCR8 is associated with various diseases.
