Corynebacterium is a genus of Gram-positive bacteria, with most species being aerobic. Corynebacterium minutissimum is a species within this genus linked to erythrasma, a type of skin rash. While C. minutissimum is a part of the normal flora on human skin, it can be associated with the polymicrobial disease erythrasma.
