Target Information

Clostridium perfringens type A is a major cause of foodborne illness in Western countries, attributed to its spore-forming capability, rapid growth, and production of enterotoxin. Additionally, it causes diseases in animals, such as bovine necro-haemorrhagic enteritis, an economically significant condition. In dogs, Clostridium perfringens type A can lead to acute hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, which can be fatal.
