Target Information

Clostridium botulinum is a bacterium known for producing potent toxins, called botulinum toxins, in low-oxygen environments. These toxins are highly neurotoxic. The biologically active forms, BTxC, BTxD, BTxE, and BTxF, consist of a protein complex that includes the respective neurotoxins along with a non-toxic non-haemagglutinin (NTNH) and, occasionally, specific haemagglutinins (HA).
