Target Information

Trypsin is a serine protease from the PA superfamily that is present in the digestive system of many vertebrates. In the duodenum, trypsin catalyzes the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, breaking down proteins into smaller peptides. The peptide product is then further hydrolyzed to amino acids by other proteases, making it available for absorption into the blood.
