Target Information

The tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL), also known as CD253, is encoded by the TNFSF10 gene. It functions as a ligand to induce cell apoptosis. The process of cell apoptosis depends on caspase-8. Research showed that the gene expression of chicken TRAIL was essentially to the same level in all tissues examined.
