Target Information

Selenoprotein P1, which is also known as plasma selenoprotein P, is encoded by the chicken SELENOP1 gene. It is a member of the selenoprotein family. It is predominantly expressed in the liver and secreted into the plasma. contains multiple selenocysteine (Sec) residues per polypeptide, making it distinct. It accounts for most of the selenium found in plasma. Low dietary Se may result in selenoprotein deficiency.
