Target Information

Programmed cell death 1, also known as PD-1, is encoded by the PDCD1 gene. This protein is expressed in pre-B cells and is thought to play a role in their differentiation. It is also important in T cell function and helps to prevent autoimmune diseases. PDCD1 was identified as a differentially expressed genes related to apoptosis in chicken spleen tissues infected with reticuloendotheliosis virus strain SNV.
