Target Information
IL2RA, also known as CD25, is encoded by the IL2RA gene. It is the alpha chain of the IL-2 receptor. It is a type I transmembrane protein found on activated T cells, activated B cells, some thymocytes, myeloid precursor cells, and oligodendrocytes. As one of the T cell activation or response-related genes, IL2RA was most highly expressed in the CD8high αα+ T cell population among chicken peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of avian leukosis virus subgroup J (ALV-J)-infected chickens.
