Target Information
GnIH is a neuropeptide produced in the hypothalamus that suppresses the secretion of gonadotropins. In birds, GnIH hinders both the synthesis and release of gonadotropins by affecting gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons and gonadotropes, a process that is facilitated through the GnIH receptor (GnIH-R), known as GPR147.
