Target Information

Glucagon is encoded by the GCG gene in chickens. It plays a key role in glucose metabolism and homeostasis. It regulates blood glucose by increasing gluconeogenesis and decreasing glycolysis. Research showed that dietary CHO could be a significant regulator of the pattern of colocalization pattern of GLP-1 with neurotensin in the chicken ileum.
