Target Information

DNAJB1 is a versatile protein involved in critical cellular processes. It belongs to the DnaJ or Hsp40 family of proteins. It contains a highly conserved amino acid stretch called the "J-domain". DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member B1 is encoded by the chicken DNAJB1 gene. It promotes ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of misfolded proteins and is responsible for suppressing p53-mediated apoptosis.
