Target Information

Galectin 9 is a carbohydrate-binding protein involved in cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation, and immune regulation. It is encoded by the goat gene LGALS9. It is a β-galactoside-binding protein that has been shown to induce T-cell death and facilitate immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment by binding to immunomodulatory receptors such as T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing molecule 3 and the innate immune receptor dectin-1.

Target/Biomarker Caprine LGALS9
Target Synonym LGALS9; Ecalectin; Lectin,Galactoside-Binding Soluble 9; Tumor antigen HOM-HD-21
