Erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 3 is encoded by the ERBB3 gene in dogs. It is expressed in early embryonal development and plays an integral role in the development of the neural crest and Schwann cells regulating pathways that execute diverse cellular functions including development, cell cycle, migration, survival, proliferation and differentiation.
