Target Information

Campylobacter species are spiral, microaerobic, gram-negative bacteria responsible for causing gastroenteritis in both humans and animals. Campylobacter mucosalis was first isolated by Lawson and Rowland in 1974 from lesions associated with porcine intestinal adenomatosis. The isolated species were characterized as gram-negative, microaerophilic, and curved in shape.
