Target Information

Urocortin 3 is selective for the CRF2 receptor, similar to Urocortin 2. It plays a role in regulating bodily processes by attaching itself to CRHR2 with strong affinity. Bovine Urocortin-3 is encoded by the UCN3 gene in cattle. The promoter polymorphisms of the bovine UCN3 gene alter 12 potential transcription regulatory binding sites, some of which are associated with obesity-related conditions.

Target/Biomarker Bovine UCN3
Target Synonym urocortin 3; urocortin-3; ucn III; urocortin 3 (stresscopin); urocortin III
Gene ID 751573
