Specifications
Target Information
UCHL1 is a deubiquitinase that hydrolyzes peptide bonds at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. It plays a role in maintaining a stable pool of monoubiquitin, essential for the ubiquitin-proteasome and autophagy-lysosome pathways. Bovine Ubiquitin Carboxyl-terminal Hydrolase Isozyme L1 is encoded by the UCHL1 gene in cattle. UCHL1 affects apoptosis-related factors in mammalian gametogenesis and controls mammalian oocyte development, regulates spermatogenesis and inhibits polyspermy.
