Bovine Toll Like Receptor 10 is encoded by the TLR10 gene in cattle. The Toll-like receptor (TLR) family constitutes a crucial class of proteins in the innate immune system. These receptors are typically expressed on sentinel cells like macrophages and dendritic cells. TLRs recognize structurally conserved molecules derived from microbes, serving as the first line of defense against invading pathogens. TLR10 is identified as a type 1 plasma membrane protein. It was found that expression of TLR10 in bovine neutrophils is altered upon treatment with Escherichia coli lipopolysaccharide.
