Bovine Transketolase (abbreviated as TK) is encoded by the TKT gene in cattle. It is a key enzyme in the non-oxidative phase of PPP. It has been validated that TKT promoted the proliferation and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells, as well as the viability under oxidative stress in vitro and accelerated the growth and metastasis of HCC cells in vivo.
