Target Information
Bovine protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase 2 is encoded by the TGM2 gene in cattle. It is a calcium-dependent acyltransferase that catalyses the formation of covalent bonds between peptide-bound glutamine and various primary amines, such as the gamma-amino group of peptide-bound lysine or mono- and polyamines, to form cross-linked or aminated proteins. It may be involved in cell adhesion and remodelling of the endometrium.
