Target Information

Transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), also known as TGF-beta 1, is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. TGF-β1 is a multifunctional cytokine with critical roles in cell regulation, tissue repair, and disease pathogenesis. TGF-β1 is encoded by the TGFB1 gene in cattle. It plays an important role in immune modulation by regulating the activities of immune cells, including natural killer (NK) cells and T cells.
