Target Information
Syntaxin-1A (STX1A) is a crucial protein involved in intracellular membrane fusion, particularly in synaptic vesicle fusion. Syntaxin-1A is part of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex. It plays a pivotal role in exocytosis, the process by which cells release substances from vesicles into the extracellular space. Bovine Syntaxin-1A is encoded by the STX1A gene in cattle. The expression level of STX1A could be potentially used as a new biomarker for ketosis in dairy cows.
