Target Information

Sorting nexin 1 (SNX1) is a protein involved in cellular processes related to membrane trafficking and protein sorting. It has the potential for membrane association either through its lipid-binding PX domain or through protein-protein interactions with membrane-associated protein complexes. Bovine Sorting Nexin-1 is encoded by the SNX1 gene in cattle. This protein binds to the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor and directs it to lysosomes for degradation.
