Target Information

Bovine Solute carrier family 30 member 3 is encoded by the SLC30A3 gene in cattle. It is primarily responsible for moving Zn2+ into synaptic vesicles. It is a probable proton-coupled zinc ion antiporter. It mediates the import of zinc from the cytoplasm into synaptic vesicles and participates in cellular zinc ion homeostasis in the brain. It is found in late endosomes and synaptic vesicles.

Target/Biomarker Bovine SLC30A3
Target Synonym solute carrier family 30 member 3; probable proton-coupled zinc antiporter SLC30A3; solute carrier family 30 (zinc transporter), member 3; zinc transporter 3; znT-3
