Target Information

Bovine ADP/ATP Translocase 3 is encoded by the SLC25A6 gene in cattle. It is a protein associated with the electron transport chain and oxidative phosphorylation. ADP/ATP translocase 3 is an ADP:ATP antiporter that mediates the import of ADP into the mitochondrial matrix for ATP synthesis, and the export of ATP to fuel the cell. Beyond its ADP:ATP antiporter activity, it is also involved in mitochondrial uncoupling and mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP) activity.
