Target Information
Proteinase-activated receptor 1 (PAR1) is a G-coupled protein receptor that regulates several cellular metabolic processes, including the differentiation and proliferation of osteogenic and cementogenic related cells. It is also known as protease-activated receptor 1 or coagulation factor II (thrombin) receptor. PAR1 was the first to be recognized as a member of the PAR family. Later, PAR3 and PAR2 were identified as proteins triggered by thrombin.
