Target Information
Bovine Oxysterols Receptor LXR-Beta is a nuclear receptor activated by oxysterols, which is involved in cholesterol and lipid metabolism. It is primarily expressed in adipose tissue, macrophages, and intestines, but also present in other tissues at lower levels. It is encoded by the NR1H2 gene in cattle. LXRβ is a ubiquitously expressed member of liver X receptors which are originally identified as orphan members of the nuclear receptor superfamily.
