Target Information

Neuroglobin (NGB), also known as neuronal globin, is a protein found in vertebrates that plays essential roles in cellular oxygen homeostasis and scavenging of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. Bovine Neuroglobin is encoded by the NGB gene in cattle. It is a protein found in neurons of both the peripheral and central nervous system that appears to convey some resilience to hypoxia.
