Target Information

Myosin light chain 9 (MLC9), also known as myosin regulatory light polypeptide 9, is a protein encoded by the MYL9 gene in cattle. MLC9 is a myosin light chain that plays a crucial role in muscle contraction. It is part of the myosin II structure and interacts with the myosin heavy chain. It has been identified as a participant in the VEGF signaling pathway and oxygenation in Jersey cattle under heat stress.
