Target Information
Bovine Microtubule-Associated Proteins 1A/1B Light Chain 3A is encoded by the MAP1LC3A gene in cattle. It plays significant roles in cellular processes, particularly autophagy. MAP1LC3A is one of the mammalian homologues of yeast ATG8, an important marker and effector of autophagy. Porcine MAP1LC3A is 100% identical to that of other mammals, with the exception of a residue variation at Cys-16, which is replaced by Arg in humans, mice, and cows.
