Target Information

Bovine Lysyl Oxidase Homolog 1 (LOXL1), encoded by the LOXL1 gene in cattle, belongs to the lysyl oxidase gene family. The prototypic member of this family plays a crucial role in connective tissue biogenesis, serving as an extracellular copper-dependent amine oxidase. Its catalytic activity initiates the formation of crosslinks in collagens and elastin. Additionally, LOXL1 is involved in peptidyl-lysine oxidation.

Target/Biomarker Bovine LOXL1
Target Synonym Lysyl oxidase homolog 1; lysyl oxidase-like protein 1; LOXL1; 1.4.3.
Gene ID 281903
UniProt ID Q95L39
