Target Information

Transcription Factor AP-1 (also known as Activator protein 1) is a multifaceted transcription factor that regulates gene expression in response to various stimuli. AP-1 controls a variety of cellular processes, including differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. It responds to signals from cytokines, growth factors, stress, and bacterial/viral infections. Bovine Transcription Factor AP-1 is encoded by the JUN gene in cattle. It can modulate the internal promoter activity of bovine foamy virus.
