Target Information

Bovine Inositol Monophosphatase 1 is encoded by the IMPA1 gene in cattle. It consists of multiple gelsolin-like domains, and is found in various tissues, including secondary oocytes, jejunal mucosa, and endothelial cells. It is a magnesium-dependent homodimer. It hydrolyzes myo-inositol monophosphate to generate myo-inositol and phosphate. It is important for phosphatidylinositol/AKT signaling. It plays a crucial role in inositol metabolic processes and phosphatidylinositol biosynthesis.
