It plays a crucial role in maintaining joint health and preventing cartilage degradation. Its domains include thiamine pyrophosphate-binding and a DHS-like NAD/FAD-binding domain. Bovine Acetolactate Synthase-Like Protein is encoded by the ILVBL gene in cattle. It was found to be connected to PPAR signaling pathway related genes.
