Specifications
Target Information
Trifunctional enzyme subunit beta, mitochondrial (MCU) is one of the subunits of the mitochondrial citrate cycle, a metabolic pathway essential for energy production. MCU specifically catalyzes the conversion of citrate to oxaloacetate. It is found within the mitochondrial matrix. It is encoded by the HADHB gene in cattle. It is a mitochondrial protein required for the β-oxidation of fatty acids in mitochondria.
