Target Information

Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone 1 is encoded by the GnRH1 gene in cattle. It constitutes the initial step in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. GnRH regulates the secretion of FSH and LH, which are essential for reproductive function. It regulates pituitary luteinizing hormone. The primary mechanisms by which GNRH1 regulates the LHB promoter are conserved between humans and other species. Dysregulation of GnRH can impact fertility, puberty, and various reproductive disorders.
