Target Information

Bovine Glycosylation-Dependent Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 is encoded by the GLYCAM1 gene in cattle. It is a heat-stable phosphoglycoprotein, also known as Lactophorin. GLYCAM1 acts as the ligand for the receptor L-selectin. It allows naive lymphocytes to exit the bloodstream and enter lymphoid tissues. By presenting one or more O-linked carbohydrates to the lectin domain of L-selectin, GLYCAM1 facilitates this crucial cellular migration.

Target/Biomarker Bovine GLYCAM1
