Target Information

Bovine Transcription Factor GATA-5 is encoded by the GATA5 gene in cattle. GATA-5 contains two GATA-type zinc fingers. It binds to the hepatocyte nuclear factor-1alpha (HNF-1alpha). It is a member of the GATA family of transcription factors, and it is known to be functionally involved in cellular lineage and cell differentiation during embryonic development of the heart, lung, urogenital tract, and gut epithelium.
