Target Information

Similar to GABRB1, gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit beta-2 is another subunit of GABA type A receptors, partnering with GABRA1 and other subunits to form functional receptors. It is found on the postsynaptic membrane of neurons in various brain regions. GABRB2 modulates receptor properties and contributes to its activation by GABA. Research has shown that hippocampal mRNA expression of GABRB2, SLC1A7, CHRM3, and GLRA4 are most strongly affected by diet.

Target/Biomarker Bovine GABRB2
Target Synonym Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit beta-2; GABA;A receptor subunit beta-2
